Fabulous Five quest deadended?
I "joined" them, defeated the robot, and returned to town and they are gone. Talked to every major NPC I could, mayor said they left town. Apparently they could just go to the mayor and say "yeah I did it" and get a reward and leave with no proof.

Quest shows as completed. Is that it? Am I missing something, or do you run in to them later?

Just find out for yourself...

Why do you want to spoiler yourself???

I assume you will meet them again where you can confront them. The whole thing is basically a joke about MLM companies so of course they scam you.

I knew what they were before "joining" them. I assumed joining them would advance a quest chain, the way it ended abruptly with no lead on where to go looking for them or anything is what lead me to believe something was amiss.

I don't. Typically, quests lead off one another in a logical way. It's not common for one to just suddenly end without any kind of resolution or information at all.

They claimed the reward and left, the end.

Didn't help the means at which it ended is pretty flimsy as is. As if one could go to any bounty quest and simply say yeah I did it gimme money.

I'm having the same problem I think. I talked to the mayor and got the exp. reward, but my quest still says something about the Fabulous Five going to the Legion for treatment. However when I visit the Legion barracks, the Five aren't there.

That Quest part is missleading and stupidly worded. Someone is still in town but hard to find (Tip: General area you are in is right but he is not obvious at all if you do not remember his name).

Well, maybe they return later. It's a bit too early to complain before you haven't even completed the whole game at least once... ;)

I didn't want to get scammed so I didn't join them.

A plotline isn't necessarily dead-ended just because it doesn't have an immediate followup. Most games nowadays do tend to immediately pop up a "New Quest Started...", but the style of DOS and others like it is to let any followup be discovered when you get to it. (This isn't limited to the Fab 5, either...)

Same problem here.

I don't have any clue. This really bugs me. I checked pretty much every NPC (with or without name) several times. It looks like I'm missing something so obvious I won't ever get it. Brain-locked. :-) Can you help me out here?

Found a named NPC guard in the cell block below the Legion HQ following the robot fight. Dude let me into the treasure room behind him and I looted the chest. Quest complete. So derp. Hard-pass.
