How to activate bloodstones?
i have 1 bloodstone that i got from the cove. if i recall correctly you use it to open up the portals in the end of time. how do i do this?

It's automatic when you pick them up. Your fast travel button on the right side of the screen flashes green to tell you somethin new is open.

Also, bear in mind you'll need a Blood Stone later on in 'Act II' to heal an NPC for a quest, so it may be worth hanging on to the one you have

the portal #2 to the living quarters did not open until i actually used the bloodstone

Double click on it or right click and press use. However Fablewyn has a good suggestion.

Star stones are automatic, blood stones need to be used like a potion, this reverts them to star stones.

ok. will i come across another bloodstone by the time I do the quest in act 2 that requires a bloodstone? wondering if its worth it to use my bloodstone right now to activate the living quarters portal

Probably not by the time you do that quest in Act II. It's one of the first quests you can come across (but it doesn't need to be completed right away.) There are other Blood Stones you can get, though, in Act II itself.

The quest just gives you some XP and a new merchant in the Act II town, so it's not a massive deal if you don't complete it right away
