Hello,

Not sure exactly where I picked it up ... oh wait I am pretty sure IIRC it was in the first town Cyseal, upstairs at magicians lab (The cat form loving magician). (I stole it)

do you know other place? i used 1 scroll, i need second scroll from other place

I concur, this is the only place I've found it so far. I kept my eye out for another one, but never saw one. Not saying there aren't more, but that is the only one I've seen.

The NPCs in Silverglenn (spelled wrong, i know) that are in the inn that "sell", there is 1 in there. I'm almost positive it's where I got my 2nd one at. Yeah, though. I've only seen 2 so far in the game and only 2 locks that needed them.

So far I've only seen 2, the one from Arhu's room in Cyseal, then the second...

Spoiler: ...in Hunters Edge from the wizard Zandalors house

Having trouble getting these as well. It's very rare but it's possible to get these from blank witchcraft scrolls + magic ink pot.
Montiness Jul 17, 2014 @ 1:01am
OK... here is a really easy way to get them

1. get some parchment (use water on woodchips. You get wood chips from using an axe on a log along with 2 branches and water in a butcket from a well. You take the resulting mush to an oven easiest is probably the cooks house in Cyseal, just east of the north gate portal)
2. get some pixe dust (made from bonedust and dtardust - grind bones in a mortar and pestle and stardust herbs too)
3. use pixidust on parchment to make blank witchcraft scrolls. My crafter had a crafting of 5.
4. get an inkpot and quill. Use a knife on a pillow for a feather. use the knife on the feather to make a quill. use the quill on the inkpot to combine them.
5. Use pixie dust on the inkpot and quill to make a magic one. This will last forever.
6. get some items to get a character to level 2 crafting. no more, no less
7. save the game.
8. use the magic quill and ink on the blank witchraft scroll with the character with 2 crafting

This will have the possibility of making one of those beloved green unlock scrolls. They are quite rare even in the random generation, so i reccommend breaking your blank witchcraft scrolls into stacks of 2, and reload every time you don't get one, and save when you do.

Another tip, try and do it on a character that has next to nothing in his inventory, then you can use the all tab and easily see whether your crafting was a success or a horrible failure.

Hope that helps, should have included everything you need to know there, except that maybe if you can't craft any of the required items, your crafting skill is not enough. OK, ciao fer now

Firstly, It's you're... and no, I'm not.

I don't reload when a chest spawns crap loot... I don't reload when a character dies... I don't reload when I get beaten in a game of paper scissors rock. I don't lowball / highball stats

Simply, he asked, I told him how to get them easily. Get off your (because that's the possessive that's intended, not the shortened conjunction that you meant) high horse douche.

Oh, and here's another "cheat" for you to crack the sads over. All known recipes

Sorry but your solution is rather pitiful, not to offend, but really its just plain cheating without challenge involved and it is not gaming in any sense of the word.

Not to offend and pitiful? I'm sure the devs don't call making scrolls a cheat, and the game tells you quite frankly to save often to get the most out of the game so you can reload... in the manual and the tips on loading screens, so, again, it's EXACTLY how the devs intended it to be played, because they know most Roleplayers are God Gamers...

Play the game however you want and don't start on a self righteous rampage because another player has knowledge of an exploit, because it's not too hard for him to put two and two together.

Oh, and for the record, I've not found a single thing I have to use an unlock scroll on, because I explore and remember.

You can play the game any way you want, that's how the devs intended it. Wether you want to 'savescum' or you want to live through C&C, you may do as you wish. Heck they even implemented different ways to control your character, so that it appeals to everyone.

Resources are limited. The entire world is persistent. So when something spawns, it stays there forever. That means you can go back to pick something up. It also means that once picked up, nothing else should spawn.
So if you're short on the ingredients for a specific craft, you might as well reload.

Aside from trolling, it's pretty pointless to discuss wether or not your personal opinion is factual.

Using an engine feature isn't exploiting. You aren't creating an unfair advantage over another player, either.

I haven't seen this happen, but perhaps I wasn't paying close attention to it.
If you're right, I stand corrected.

Play it how you want, ok np, you want to reload your save game, go ahead, your choice.

You want tolike the clown above justify why you should reload a save game to cheat the game's mechanics, sure go ahead.
It's not a cheat of game mechanics. The feature is there to use it as you wish. Not to be spiteful, but have you ever played older RPGs? Saving and reloading was something common, before every game started being a movie with minimal interactment through ♥♥♥♥ like quest markers.

It really doesn't bother me, I am not your mother and your not a child, you well know your cheating the intended mechanics of the game and not paying the way it is intended, but really, whatever makes you sleep at night *smiles*
Since you've been given some solid couter-arguments on your claim of wether or not it is cheating, you haven't once come back on it with something solid. It's a shame, because I was hoping to find a decent discussion with someone who has an unpopular opinion, yet is able to show a solid foundation to his claim.
Your passive-aggressiveness tells us that you're rather upset that you are finding more resistance than support at the moment, instead of making you look like the cool bean.
There's really no point in taking things personal when discussing mechanics of a game, we're all here for enjoyment and I don't aim to attack you personally.

I'm about of this convo, cya ;)

What a nice comeback. I can't do anything else but revise my previous statements, now that you've come up with some solid arguments to battle my own!

@ OP gl, I think you have enough info to do it the right way without having to abuse the savegame mechanics.

Cheers.
You seem to be a lot better at channeling your anger into empty personal attacks, rather than using that time and energy to come up with something we can use.

Your original comment was bad enough as it was, for a weak finish, but your edit just made it worse. I haven't seen a single trustworthy thing coming from you in this thread and anything you said after you met resistance just made your case worse.

Please learn discussion ettiquette.

In most multiplayer games or games with leaderboards people are really anoyed by exploits because its unfair to players who play legit.

This dude is probs like me hates this kind of disscusion as if people cheat or not it makes no difference as it does not effect other peoples games so who cares if people reload for loot or flat out cheat.
