2. Book from her house (the locked area in her shop)
3. Bloody knife in the hidden room of her cellar (under her house)
She will deny all evidence and point you to Evelyn.
If all else fails you can just force your way into Evelyn's house.
I think there is too much talking in this game. I stopped playing Baldurs Gate 2 for the same reason.
Out of interest, how do you get in that room in the cellar that doesnt have a door on it? I cant find anyway in there, ive yet to find the knife either.
*SPOILER* It had me looking for ages. Ended up something ridiculous... Remove the ham off the wall to the right and there's a button. I know... how stupid!
This isn't the genre for you then.
The rat in the basement gives you a hint to check out the ham if you talk to him.
If you find the puzzles too dificult go with Pet Pal and talk to every rat you see. They are there to provide hints about the current area.
And them kill them for the 90xp each :)
