King Boreas (slight spoiler)
Is king Boreas immune to all elemental damage and magic? Is physical damage the only way to go?
Why is it smart to tear down the elemental statues before you fight him?

It seems that all his elemental resistances are >100. I did not bother with the statues, since he doesn't really have that many HP after all. Chars with access to witchcraft (Soultap) or Warriors (Lower / Nullify Resistance) should be able to take care of that and some of the mage spells/summons still do physical damage if you are a 100% mage party. Oh and if you keep failing, just use a couple of voodoo dolls on him for the turn 1 kill.

While taking out the elemental statues I opened the path opposite the entrance, lead Boreas through and up the short flight of steps, and dropped him (using teleport) onto one of the spots where fireballs coming down from the ceiling strike. They continue in real time throughout combat so I just waited with one of my party still having AP to spend and watched as the fireballs whittled Boreas' health away to nearly nothing before resuming combat and finishing him off.[\spoiler]

If you destroy the statues, he loses his resistance to that elemental. I tried this my first two goes... but I ultimately did better by just staying by the first set of stairs and not going after the towers.

I noticed after using lower resistance on him that he is not immune to all elements, poison damage counter seperately from earth and he has no resistances to it.

Elemental imunities are in most cases no problem at all, as you can lower elemental resists for:

-50% all res (shadow/tenebrium -20%) > nullify resistances
-50% all res (shadow/tenebrium -20%) > soulsap
-20% elemental + poison > lower resists
-25% elemental > opposite element shield (fire shield for -25% water res)
-25% water + fire > imune to burning/frozen
-20% fire > burning status
-20% water > frozen status
-20% air > wet status

For fire and water thats -170% resists at lvl 16+, and -70% at lvl10+. If not patched already, you can apply burning/frozen b4 the imunity spell, that didn't remove active bruning stacks only new ones applied afterwards, making for -190%/-90% resistances.
