Sacrificial Chicken ? (Trials of Immaculates)

During the quest line for the Trial of Immaculates, Loic asks you to sacrifice a chicken, then he runs off. After fighting him and his friends I began looking for the chicken. None can be found unfortunately. Any tips?

Its around, but you dont need it if you have been cured from the rot

Chances are the chicken died in the fight or it ran off entirely, it doesn't really do anything but beg for it's life anyway.

Hmm....I got to this stage and it's always a fight. I even managed not to use the Blood Stone by teleporting past it but he still says I'm cured even though all of my guys still have the Rot? Bug? The stone was still there and still not used. The chicken is there and I can sacrifice it but Loic always thinks I'm cured?

My chicken ended up flapping around behind the alter where the stone was still pleading for it's life after I'd wasted Loic. Pretty dumb chicken. Like trying to roost for night in your oven.
