The hidden chest of the white witch ???

I found a note in the white witch hut that says she has hidden anything of worth in a chest nobody will find. Has anyone found it ? Is this a hint that there is a hidden chest somewhere nearby, her way of saying there is nothing special to find, or a red herring ?

just follow the path and when you comes to split, one going to the floating sea thingies, take the other, follow it, kill the enemies, go up on the small hill and dig in the right down corner of that hill

You also have to manually dig for it. At least, I had to in my game.

When you follow the path, there was the first dead wolf. The path splits, so take the one down. After a short walk it splits again, one leads to a dead end. There is the hidden chest. My char always recognize them automatically when i come close.

I saw at twitch how people run thru this game like it is Diablo. They miss things like that, but i guess thats fine for them, coz they never know they missed... :OP

Perception normally gets the secrets. This is my 3rd run through so I did not feel the need to buy them again. Does any secret that you can buy a treasure map for actually require the map to unlock the ability to find that secret ?

I would say no, coz i found two treasure chest with my perception skill, and bought three treasure maps later, while two of them was the chests i found myself already.

Don't know does they fixed that. So i never bought any Treasure Map.

If you have Pet Pal and you rescue a certain pig called Thuringer, you can ask him to help you look for the chest, but what he really does is find spots where it can be hidden. It doesn't mean it's the right spot.

I don't think you don't need to buy any scroll if one character have enough perception.

i did this : (so far don't need any scroll in Cyseal region)

- buy a scroll , check on the map (remember where it is)
- quicksave & reload
- remember where it is : go there to find it, if you can't find it with all boosts (burn my eyes + items) ; then i would keep the scroll , otherwise no.

In other hands, after Cyseal , gold isn't a real problem.

Actually in my game , the boar (?) , found the chest. What it really did :

it searched differents spots , and stopped to search after finding it. I can't guarantee this is the correct chest (i would find hard to believe it could find differents chests : because i alrealy "scanned" the area with a character with enough perceptions)

This is absolutely broken for me. The dumbass pig just stands on a hill at the bottom righthand side of the map telling me he found it, but there is no spot for me to dig. Jesus christ this ♥♥♥♥ is just so broken.

Talk to the boar again. He stops at 4 places where you can dig up mushrooms (which he will eat if you do so when he is around) before getting to the chest at coordinates: x: 754, y: 372 (shown under the mini-map).

For this blasphemous behavior, buy two copies of DOS: 2!

You have to manually dig - so right click a shovel in your inventory and click use. If you're at the right co-ordinates the chest will be dug up.
