Ironic post, given the username.

Sadly no. The character models were made early in development and a lot was coded around them. They were based on the concept art. Long threads about this in the Larian forums. I sure they now know that this is one thing that would have been better with more options.
It was one of the 1st things brought up in the public alpha but that was already too late.

Unfortunately, no you cannot change the physique of your characters.

I doubt they will ever add new body types to the game.

I don't mind Roderick's muscles and I'm sure Scarlet doesn't either.

Actually, most women do not find exaggerated musculature attractive.

Interesting info here:

Some muscle is preferred but an essentially muscular build indicates higher androgen levels, which can mean a violent disposition. On average, women will not want a long term relationship with such men, nor to raise offspring with them.

Well the dude's kinda supernatural.

I'm playing him as a mace wielding cleric, so don't mind too much, though a rogue or wizard would look off-archetype.

Sort of like my weak ass nameless ones with all their stats in wisdom and intelligence despite the comic-book musculature of the character render.

There's only one male and one female player body, so there's celarly no system in place to dynamically resize equipment.

Check out Jahan's guns, - looks perfectly wizardy in a robe though.

Honestly there's alot not to like in the character and equipment art of Original Sin (gotta love my female PC's watermelon sized staff head in that shot...)

Real shame if it keeps you from playing it however.

Yeah, so what's the downside?

Not much for the individual. Interesting in terms of genetics.

I must admit I don't like the male body model either.

Kinda looks like the Incredible Hulk without the green.

I wish I had the talent to mod body types. Hypertrophied mages look disturbing.
