New update

Since the new update I can't play the game as I can't run the update. It says I don't have enough space. Can anyone tell me how i might free up space so I can play the game.

Yes, that would make sense. Is there a way to remove items from the hard drive? II have no other games on my computer just Asylum...

Update takes more time than expected I guess. Patching for several hours on M.2 SSD with 40GBs free...

Look for unnecessary programs and images then uninstall them

Yes, mine took a while as well. I noticed that Steams download speed was very slow compared to my internet connection speed.

It seems there was only 34.4 MB to download but than came the patching

Sometimes Steam is stupid and requires full game free space to download even 34 Mb patches...

The small update is an incremental update. It needs to re-write a 10 GB file.

You should also use disk cleanup as well as uninstalling unused apps/games, you'd be surprised how much space so called temp files take up. Not to mention it hangs on to windows update files long after they're needed. How to do it depends on whether your using Win 10 or 11. In both cases you start with right clicking the drive.
