Is this a bug?
I've read through the post about which record to play in order to calm the guy in the cafeteria, have collected the 3 records and noted that he is calmed by children's nursery music . I've seen but can't get at the music box but I've played all the tracks on each of the 3 records and each time gone to check if anything has happened at the cafeteria and spoken to Bruno about needing to get into the therapy room. My note about the mad patient is crossed out now so I can't ask about that. Yet still I can't get beyond this point. Please could someone tell me exactly what I have failed to do as I'm totally stuck and wouldn't mind a spoiler to let me proceed. Otherwise, I can only think I've hit a bug.

Have you been inside the patient's cell in the Tunnel of the Damned? Make sure you pay attention to the toy he has on his bed, which gives you a hint about the kind of music he enjoys. Once you have identified the toy instrument, see if you don't have a track that can be played in the vitrola.

Thanks for your help Agustin. Do you mean the cell with the guitar? . If so, then yes, I've picked it up to examine it. I've played the track which is played by that same instrument but nothing changes back at the cafeteria door. Bruno is sick of talking to me. Is the vitrola the record player in the archive room? Or am I meant to use a different player?

Correct, that's what you have to do. Can you let me know which track you're playing? It could also be something to do in the way you're using the victrola in the archives room.

We haven't received bug reports about this puzzle... so far!

Also, to be extra sure: did you give Bruno his baton?
KarenB Mar 14 @ 5:49am
Yes, given Bruno the baton . I have literally played every track on all 3 records. I assumed it would be the guitar one so I tried that first but when it didn't have any effect, I tried all the others. I put the record on the deck, turn the knob to 'on' and put the arm on the right track by clicking either the arm or the knob that moves it. I leave it playing while I go to see what is happening. The only thing I can think that might be wrong is that when I loaded the full game, it used my saved game from the demo so I continued from that point.

Oooooohh, please make sure you start a new game from scratch then. Lots has change since the demo, and savegame compatibility can't be guaranteed :(

Okay, thanks Agustin. Will the game give me the option to start afresh or do I have to delete the saved games and the autosave one that I can see in the list but has no delete option. If I have to delete manually, where will I find them stored on my PC.

On the game menu, you can start a new session, no need to delete the old saves.

I'm also having a moment on this one and can't get past it. I don't think I started from a save but now I'm doubting that. Is anyone able to just confirm which colour/track and if you have to do anything else special when you get back to the door? Otherwise I might have to check myself in forever...

I played the demo before so I didn't start from the beginning, and the music puzzle was bugged and couldn't be completed no matter what I did. I started a new game eventually and then the music puzzle could finally be solved, so I recommend you do that instead if you have issues with it
