No Love for One Handed Hammers

Correct me if I'm wrong but there are no unique hammer(2H/1H) to be bought on commercium in Madaraan. On a side note, even crossbows, and spears. The arena bouts also doesn't drop one handed hammers except if they are generic. Additionally, Almost all of them uses sword/unique sword. Even the Champion on Arena uses a sword (Haven't beaten him yet).

I'm now on Caetor on my Imperial Run and my Hammer is still the Iron one bought from the Barracks of Teron (Imperial Guard). Why are there a lot of sword drops/even shop that sells unique swords (Madaraan) but nada for hammer?

It seems to me spending hammer in this game really isn't efficient.

You can buy a unique hammer (well, spiked club) called the Perforator. Don't recall where, but I think it's somewhere around the trading plaza in Maadoran (there are 6 merchants there, each has a unique weapon for sale).

There is a unique trident (Pax Deorum) that you can either buy from the trader near the arena or get from one of the gladiators.

There are no unique crossbows (each is fairly unique though) but you can build one called the Bolter, if you explore the tower of Zamedi and have some crafting skills.

Thanks for the info! I was grinding for a while with my iron hammer not knowing that there is a more better version.

I tried searching for the merchant. I only found emporium trader (axe), Curio Trader (Compass and Power Tube), Ordu Trader (light Armor), Fletcher (Bows), Shield (shield), Armor (armor), Imperial Guard (Sword). There were four NPCs that I can highlight but can't interact with. Additionally, of the four, one has a name "Merchant". I'm assuming he has the Unique Hammer or maybe there is another unique trader I missed?

Found one trader in Arena that sold me some Armor. Ah, forgot there was another kind of traders in Temple District. I'm too poor/weak (for the thugs) to get them though.

Hmm... maybe the hammer is somewhere else. Sorry, I don't have a good memory for such things. I checked the items database but it doesn't show location.

Anyway, I'll take a note of it and make sure that we have more hammers in general and another unique in particular.

Kill Aemolas in Teron and get best hummer for the beginning of the game.
Slum trader (Number 2) sells Perforator. Must be in Temple disgtrict.

Found him. Yes, he's in the slums. I prefer my iron hammer though because of the AP trade off. Let's see how I will fare using Perforator.

Hammer can work really well for crafting builds though. The hammer passive is calculated before the DR reduction of hardened technique, so that at Hammer 10/Crafting 10 (not that that is achievable any longer, but it used to be), any armor with a DR of 10 or lower had a functional DR of 0. Good times.

Edit: If you guys are going to make another unique hammer, might I suggest a 4 AP Marculus, since the Perferator is 5 AP? Hardened would be cool on it, too - as I mentioned, it works great with hammers. Just a thought.
