Where to buy Togas?

Hi, this might seem like a really, really dumb question, but everyone else is wearing togas, except for my merchant. Where do I find togas?

There are two clothing merchants in Teron, none elsewhere. So buy what you can there because afterwards you can only find togas on corpses of the people you kill.

She doesn't sell togas though, she sells noble's clothes.

Merchants wear "Expensive Robes" which you can't buy from anyone.

There are 3 merchants in Teron which sell clothes (2 in merchant area, 1 in front of inn) but none sell Togas.

Is this at the beginning of the game when you first start in Teron?

Oops, I just remembered - I sold that trader all the similar stuff from cold bodies during first Teron run, so it must be some loot. You right - it's not the beginning of the game. Sorry dude, it means that you haven't any chance to BUY togas in the game :(
But, Cado may give you a merchant robe somewhere in Teron's TA during interacting with his guild.

Merchant robes (expensive robes) aren't sold anywhere and can't get one from joining the merchant guild. I got mine by killing Mitilades the robbing merchant.

You could use console commands to add whatever clothing you want.

~ to open console mode
then dlgadditem(###,1)
500: Tunic
501: Light Tunic
502: Toga
503: Long Toga
504: Slave Garb
505: Expensive Long Robe
506: Expensive Robe
507: Long Robe
508: Short Robe
509: Noble Clothes
510: Noble Dress
511: Odalisque's Garb
513: Loremaster's Garments
514: Merchant Robe
515: Dirty Tunic

Nobles wear Noble Clothes/Dress, Merchants wear Expensive Long Robe, Expensive Robe and Merchant Robes, Loremasters wear Loremaster's Garments, Slaves wear Slave Garb or Dirty Tunic. Workers wear Toga, Long Toga, Tunic, Light Tunic, Short Robe, Long Robe. Haven't seen any character wearing Odalisque's Garb though the merchant outside the Inn in Teron sells it.

Cloaks are relatively common but I haven't noticed them doing anything beyond being decorative.

Nope, also don't know how to get items of different materials or qualities.

Started digging into console commands to see how clothes affected disguise. Still unsure if rings (silver, gold, ruby) have any effect.

Most rings don't have any effects. There are some checks for specific items here and there (like wearing certain armor), but in most cases your disguise skill determines success or failure.
