Reggie's Patriot Militia

So, I'm not one to ask for help, since I prefer to try and figure out things on my own, but one thing that's bugged me as of late (read: this latest playthrough and any playthrough in which you support Reggie), is how to support and fully fund the Militia. In my current playthrough, I have 1000 imperials but the highest option for donation is 500 imperials, which isn't all that bad, mind you, but it certainly doesn't get me the achievement. Now, if I just don't know where Regulus and his militia are located after the vignette or if I'm missing out on a skill or something, but regardless, if anyone has any advice concerning this achievement, I'd be grateful for the assist.

P.S. Love this game, by the way, major props to the devs for getting this far.

A steep price in my opinion, but certainly a worthwhile one considering the outcome of keeping the city safe from any preachers.
