What do you Prefer, Bow or Crossbow?

Which ranged weapon have you liked the most? Crossbows are sweet for punching through that heavy plate, but bows must be nice not to have to click that reload all the time.

With the Bolter my hybrid loremaster/crossbow build finally felt viable.

Also, STR damage modificator works with Bows, but doesn't work with Crossbows, so Crossbows are the best choice for characters with low STR

I find the knockdown effect of the crossbow a real fight winner , gives you a no miss shot with the multi loaded or hand crossbows.

about crossbows: Bolter really rules. Made an Arena champion from my loremaster :D

Quite a few patches ago (and really going back as far as the combat demo) I was always in love with Bows, and I still need to try a Bow + Crit aimed attack build with the release combat changes. But really that also probably works better with Crowssbow now, especially with some of the better Xbows and especially with the Bolter.

Plus you can do good damage even with low strength, which is perfect for a fighting loremaster or other hybrid that needs as many dump stats as possible.

with 10-10-8-4-4-4, bow and high crit, shots to the head works good. the other good thing about bows is you don't need to spent SP on craft, cause there is already +20 thc bow in Maadoran.
