Critical Strike for Axe wielders
I noticed Critical Strike isn't really multiplying the damage your are doing but rather substituting it for a big non DR affected damage of it's own.

As an Axe wielder I don't know how useful that is.

For example:

Sometimes I hit my opponents for about 26 damage with the +30% damage. Sometimes I get to 30 if he really has no DR.

But when I get Critical Hit I usually deal 20-25 damage which is less than a normal hit. Shouldn't it be even more? Like 40-50 damage.

Sure Critical Strike has some debuffs, like lowering perception, THC, disarming, cripple dodge fighters, bleed and whatever, but from a pure damage output perspective it seems underwhelming for an axe fighter.

I'm not saying Critical hit is a bad skill, it's even a VITAL skill combined with daggers or one handed weapons but for a two handed axe fighter or hammer fighter it just seems underwhelming.

So are pure axe fighters better off without critical strike?

Internet is trolling me and I can't view the picture but I'm guessing you're reffering to the Widowmaker character mindless has done with no dodge or block skills.

I know mindless's build and my own is pretty much inspired by his own, with just max dodge and axe and a little less crit strike.

The question still remains, if I can kill almost anyone with two or three normal hits is there a point to critical strike with which I deal more or less the same damage?

Also I don't think Crit debuffs apply on Agathot. Crit damage, yes, but he can't be disarmed, affected by bleed, he doesn't dodge but blocks and I don't think you can lower his stats either.
