[SPOILERS] Chosen One in Ganezzar
All the trouble I went through to get myself a name like that, and I can't even finish Darganus' side of Elias questline peacefully?

When Claudia and her friend come for Berengarius, there's not a single skill check, no way to use the Chosen One status, and she even calls me a killer, despite zero body count and the fact that I did use the Chosen One line to save Elias (she doesn't say that I killed Tycho, but that's the only subtle difference from the violent way). The only options I have is to kill her (with a character who never even tried to kill anyone, unless you count the "accident" at the mine, but even there, I've saved everyone I could) or walk away and let these sick ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s have their way (and, eventually, join them). Why?? I've convinced far better people then Claudia to change their mind...

Well, maybe there are other perks of such status later (I haven't reached Meru yet to check), but this one is a huge disappointment.

...In fact, this whole questline (both sides) seems to be written around the assumption that only a fighter will ever get it (which isn't true even if you are not the Chosen One). Why do they all treat me as a sellsword/killer if I'm a pure talker, don't wear any armor and never raised a dagger in my life?

...ok, Chosen One does have his own cool ending (although the same result can be achieved in a different and easier way). Still, I think that Elias line could use some tuning. Also, I'm still confused about the fact that there is a suggestion to find some zealot to help you with the first construct in Hellgate, but I've never found a way to actually ask someone for that help (e.g. Meru, Hector), Chosen One or not. I wonder if it's even possible? I know I can use the nullifier gadget, but it gives me +1 to body count for some reason, and I'd really like to finish "clean" at least once...

You can ask the mercenary zealot you meet at the entrance of gannezzar for help.

Oops... Totally forgot about that one. Thanks.

Oh, and turns out I was wrong about body count. Both options give 1 combat skill point for some reason (that's what confused me), but body count stays 0.

Out of curiosity, what's the chosen one ending? I think that was added since last time I played, since they expanded/added upon the endings.

It makes the "Use me, master!" line actually work with Agathoth (but only if Ganezzar is still in Meru's hands). After that, you come back, kill Meru, and have to convince majority out of 5-6 "important" people to vote for you. If you succeed, you are the new ruler of all (second to Agathoth, of course). If not, you are crucified. :D In my grifter run, I could only convince 3 of 6, which isn't enough, so had to rewind a little and do Hector's questline to "remove" Darganus from the list of people to convince - strangely, Hector's side is doable by talker, while Darganus is only for fighters...

The easier way I mentioned is to help Meru with Al-Akia, freeing Balzaar, then also free Agathoth and accept his task to go back and kill Balzaar's vessel (ex-Meru). Then you don't have to convince anyone. Although now that I think of it, it's only easier if you have high enough constitution to survive Balzaar's retaliation, otherwise it's impossible. :)

Ah, interesting. Yeah, I'd done the easier way before. The other is pretty cool though.
