Translating to german language.

Hello @ all,

I began to translate the game to german language, some time before and it seemed to work. Than I didn't play it quite a while.
Now, some time later I installed AoD again and I started do edit the scripts.aod file again.
Is it possible, You coded a query to obtain the exact size of the file or the latest access date or something?
If I put in even a single letter and save the file, I cannot start the game anymore, until I copied back the original file.
So, is there any way to translate the game to german language? I know it is quite a lot of work but i would like to try it.

Yes, it's possible (the game's already been translated into Russian and Spanish by the respective gaming communities), although I believe it's too much work for one person (about 600,000 words). Here's our translation forum, you can ask for advice there:

Why don't you try to translate Dungeon Rats first, then AoD ? Easier, faster, and some part of your work could be use for AoD

I'm also eager to see a German translation.
I usually have no problem with playing games in English but with text intensive games like this it's quite a chore to play until the end in a language that's not your native one.
