Why is this game always trying to install Microsoft .NET Framework?
Seriously, every time I boot the game up from Steam it tried install Microsoft .NET Framework. I've opened the game at least seven times now and it always says it's installing the .NET Framework.

How do I stop it from doing that?

Same. And it takes so long when doing so.

Try repairing the .NET install, or manually update to the latest version available. It seems that your .NET install is corrupted.

You could also try to remove the install files from the DLC Quest install folder. If I'm not mistaken, Steam will just skip the install for those packages if you do that. Not 100% sure about this though.

Or navigate to the game install folder in your Steamapps\common and remove the install.vdf file, which can look like:

installscript.vdf
16810_install.vdf
runasadmin.vdf

In most cases Steam will then ignore any extra setup features and just launch the game.

This file will return if you verify the game cache.

I had the same problem, and I went crazy trying to figure out what the issue was!! But restarting my PC for some reason is what did the trick...

I've deleted the file, restarted the computer, but... It still doesn't work
