Not sure, but you can now launch source ports through steam for doom 2.

What do you mean?

You can get the classic doom games to launch through steam with a souce port, to use the overlay and have game time count. This did not work for doom 2 untill today.

There is a Beta branch for some reason for the game now.

I received an 8.7 MB update patch for the game. All the files in the folder now have today's date in their timestamp...

How do you do it? Do you just copy the source port files in the base folder?

Install your source port to the folder with the dosbox.exe, delete dosbox.exe and rename sourceport.exe to dosbox.exe, it will now launch through Steam.

You are dumb. Your profile lists Doom 2 as 0.1 hours played. You have obviously not been using the doom 2 overlay with your source port.

With the steam overlay for Doom 2? not a non-steam game?
Every time this is talked about there are a couple of people who say , naha, I run doom 2 with a source port.

You are dumb.

Way to make yourself look like an ass -_-
You could have simply tried it yourself so you wouldn't have to go around calling people "dumb" for no reason.

I'm also wondering what the 8Mb update is really about...
