How to play cooperative?

you go to local multiplayer and you have to connect 2 or more controllers for it to work, then press the fire button on both of them

yes. i mean maybe 2 keyboards will work, but all i know is that 1 keyboard and 1 controller doesn't work, and that you need 2 controllers if anybody is to be using a controller, as otherwise the keyboard and controller with both register to player 1

But this is a local network. There you need at least 2 pc in one network. I have 2 pc on the same network and they are not visible in the LAN item in Doom

it's splitscreen, there is no LAN play

the game menu indicates that this is a local multiplayer. it turns out developers are deceiving and misleading?

it does have local multiplayer, just not of the LAN kind

LAN is the same local network ...

and local means "in the same area", which is what you are when you are playing splitscreen with someone, lots of games have used that terminology in referring to splitscreen modes

I have never seen a split screen called local multiplayer. Always split screen was split screen. I playing quake, doom, serious sam and other game with multiplayer.
