Brutal doom hell on earth starter pack v20b help

How do i do multiplayer/coop using brutal doom with my friend?

Very simple question with a slightly long answer

First, you need to use zandronum as it has simplified multiplayer. You will need someone to host a game server and then you can use doomseeker, bundled with it to join.

But a much easier solution is to utilize "best ever" servers http://www.best-ever.org/

Connect / registed to them with IRC, follow the instructions on there, and get it working. Easier than setting up a personal server, and will run better if neither of your computers are particularly great.

Alteratively, just browse doomseeker servers for a brutal doom server already open. Other people can join this way, but you can join a game together effortlessly

EDIT : seems v20b is banned from best ever, so either settle for v20a, or research how to get it running with one of you hosting.

My guess is neither of you have a computer good enough to host though, so settling with 20a, or finding a server with it might be best.

I already figured it out, and got v20b hell on earth working, but GOD the bosses take SOOOOOO many hits, like you get stuck to nothing but your fists

That's a understatement lol. It took us a total of 982 punches/kicks to kill him. And over 2 1/2 hours and probs hundreds of deaths.

which difficulty? I played on hurt me plenty solo and had plenty of ammo for bosses. On coop I use respawning ammo and lose half ammo upon death, makes it more fun while still making you seek out some ammo

That's probally why then. cause we didn't have respawning ammo or anything. We got our butt handed to us.
