DOOM II

DOOM II

So umm... where are the WADs?
Hey fellas.

So I wanted to (legally) get my hands on TNT Evilution and Plutonia WADs.

When you launch the standard Bethesda Unity Port, you get this hub for add-ons, where I can download them. Both play just fine through the Unity Port, making it pointless to buy The Final Doom release here on Steam.

...Thing is, I don't really use the Unity Port, but rather GZDoom or Prboom+ - and ZDL to manage the WADs. I can't find the Plutonia and TNT WAD files anywhere in the game folder though.

Any idea on what kind of sourcery is this? The add-ons files do exist somewhere... right?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I'll usually search the official add-ons for interesting wads to play next, so this expedites the process.

Thought I'd add something to this...

The wads may not be located "C:\users\your user name\saved games\id software\". You may have to look in "C:\Users\your user name\OneDrive\Saved Games\id Software" If you are using OneDrive.

I know I'm a few months late, but thanks for this addition - that was the location of my WADs.

Under the WADs folder that was mentioned earlier in 2 slightly different ways, the numbered document within the numbered folder are the WAD. They just need to be renamed.

For example: The folder named 12 has a document within it also named 12 (ignore metadata). There are images next to the document named after syringe, so you then know the wad is syringe. Rename the document from 12 to syringe.wad. Boom, you got your wad.
