DOOM II

Online Multiplayer
How is this still not online multiplayer? It was the main way to play this game back in the day, and now it's restricted to single player? Such disappoint, much disdain

they didn't 'restrict' anything. the DOS version still exists and you are free to go and figure out how to set up an online game that way. 'online multiplayer', in the modern way you probably are expecting it, did not exist in doom, it was a more laborious and expensive process, which you can still try to setup yourself if you are so inclined in the DOS version. or you could play on one of the popular multiplayer sourceports for maximum ease and convenience

Yeah, that's good and all, but the xbox 360 version of doom, before the switch port released had online multiplayer and co-op. They removed it, shortly after the switch port released.

i booted up my 360 and it's dead sadly. I went on streaks in those games though, it was fun.

The remastered version of Quake currently has online Deathmatch at least. It's pretty limited, but it works on Switch/Xbox for sure.

Wish we'd get the same treatment for the Unity ports of DOOM/DOOM II for other platforms, too. It's just bananas to me they left it out. It can't be that expensive or costly to implement, can it? :silentslime:
