anyone else disappointed at the ending?
anyone else? basically it just cuts off in what feels like the middle of a cutscene. idk why the story about the protagonist's romance wasn't concluded, when that's the whole point of the game.

True, it did felt like it missed something. We never knew what Pali wanted to show her. I feel like it may have been hinted, but I still don't know what it could've been.

The conclusion was in the talk Pavol had with Paulina, bratm.
She told him she didn't love him anymore, there was nothing more to do there.
And he went off to war again. He didn't know what else to do with himself.
It's very bittersweet ending.

Pretty sure it was the hot air balloon. That's why you see it in the final cutscene with Matej waving.
He just wanted to make some final memories with her before going to die against the Turks.

Ahh, that makes sense. It is a bittersweet ending. The moment he stopped giving his ear to ear smile, it was already over.

Too short, overpriced, downer ending - I'm so glad I didn't buy/play the game. Power fantasies are so much more fun.

This could be an opportunity for an expansion with Pali starting anew in another war, too bad there is no player choice to let pavol spare her or just hurl her off the air balloon

what about matej? him and pavol became best bros before the story ended, idk why pavol would care about his ex more, makes him look pathetic after playing as him the whole game. the love story between pavol and paula was vague and barely significant in the greater story anyway, why was it in the ending?
the death of zemepan also got kind of ignored, even though there was a "siege" to avenge him, there was no moment of mourning for him or funeral.

A cutscene where you see Paula falling from the air balloon could've been so peak. They really should add that as an alt ending in the future.

Haha Matej would gasp and Adam be scratching his head when they watch.

The ending is that Pavol continued halfswording Hussites into the sunset
the real ending is the smile disappearing from pavol's face

That's life, maybe you're still young and a little lacking in experience (please don't take it as an insult). People don't always behave rationally. Especially deep in love. For you, the story of Pavol and Paula was not crucial, but for me it was the essence of the knight's character. That's why he drank, that's why he threw himself into events that didn't necessarily concern him, that's why he finally went to war again. And Matej? Well, he has his own life and duties. Friends come and go, everyone has their own path to follow in life. You have to enjoy these short moments together.

Personally, I'm very happy with the ending. Nothing really begins and ends in life, there is always another day. Pavol knew he wouldn't be with Paula, which makes me appreciate even more that he took her on that hot air balloon trip, that he wanted to give her (and himself) one more fond memory before he had to say his final goodbyes. It's definitely not pathetic. Quite opposite.

The ending is Pavol realised that Paula didnt love him. He still loved her though and let her escape in the hot air balloon (or maybe they escaped together). If she went back, the villagers would have demanded that she be killed.
Either way, Pali lets go of his hope that Paula will love him and instead goes to war - back to what he knows best. Remember he talks about how he still feels the sword that was supposed to execute him lying against his neck? Pavol was traumatised by war, this is why he couldn't stop drinking. Ultimately, like many trauma survivors, he is drawn back to what traumatised him to begin with.
Good game, btw.

It's really good, whether he killed her or allowed her to escape in the balloon. Seems ambiguous to me.
