Dream
LSD: Dream Emulator rip-off?
Is this game pretty much the same as LSD: Dream Emulator but with improved graphics? Cause the screenshots are pretty similar to those of LSD, such as the sign pointing in different directions and the floating laterns. And LSD is based on the dreams of the creator, Hiroko Nishikawa, that had kept a dream journal for over 10 years. Unless it's pretty common these days to keep dream journals that are similar to others and then make a game out of it.

Given that the dev(s) have said it in part inspired them when making Dream, I wouldn't call it a ripoff at all. More like a partial tribute.
oh i didn't know that, and yes rip off is definitely not the right word (just the only word i could think of at the time), tribute is much better especially if the devs mentioned it, and LSD is 15 years old so it is about time someone did make something similar to it, in sense of a game being cool and trippy.

The devs have two main inspirations: LSD Dream Simulator and Yume Nikke. Inspiration is key here. They have created a unique game with a very creative environment. It is similar, yet very different from these titles. :D

LSD is really very different from Dream. I mean, it's, of course, very similar when you compare it to other games, they are both about dreams, not linear, etc. But LSD is a WHOLE level of drugs and random randomness above Dream.

This game looks amazing I'm glad they used LSD Dream Emulator as an inspiration because I used to play LSD Dream Emulator alot :)
Dream does look pretty good and i also loved LSD Dream Emulator. And Dream has puzzles instead of just running around and touching stuff to get to a different world (dream), which is nice. i will probably get Dream but maybe later down the development of it when it is more refined and also when its down in price.
