Hello! Thanks for your questions. We’ll clarify how the gearing system works in Abathor:
You don't receive the exact money equivalent to each piece of equipment, but rather a set amount per zone. The further you progress, the more money you'll receive. In Adventure Mode, you get money per stage, while in Heroic Mode, it’s given per zone.
If you want to "reset" your character at the beginning of a zone, you’ll indeed need to reload the game. In Adventure Mode, you'll receive money after each completed stage. In Heroic Mode, you’ll receive money per zone—so if you're playing Heroic and want to reconfigure your character, it’s best to do it right when you enter a new zone.
If you lose and use a credit, you’ll keep all your current equipment, so it’s recommended to buy credits when you’re low on them and still have many stages to go within a zone. You’ll only have to reload the game and convert your equipment to money if you reach GAME OVER.
You can check your gear only when you reach a store.
Happy to answer these and any other questions you may have. Thanks again for your interest in Abathor, and we hope you enjoy the game!
