[QoL FEEDBACK] Hero switch after every level?
I think you should be able to switch your hero before every level. There are several upsides while I see little to no downsides.

Upsides:

- Clearing specific cheevos easier without needing to hawk over them or beat the game and then revisit levels later. Just pick the right stuff as you go
- You boasted that some heroes are better for certain stages than others, and that's really cool. However, I can barely take advantage of that when my choice is locked in for the entirity of a world. Maybe you meant "good for a stage" as in all stages in that world but that's arguably inaccurate
- The upgrade shop has generic upgrades anyway, so it isn't like we'd need multiple instances of shops and keep track of them per character, so this part is already settled

Downsides:

- Having to go through the process of picking a hero before every level, especially in coop. This could be solved by making the repick optional in some way. The process would need to be streamlined but also be made dynamic and flexible. It's also already pretty fast, so no biggie. You could just have the hero selection already be on the hero you used in the last stage and then it'd be an extra press of a start button, that's all

I think this'd make the game more fun.

Hello HighLanderPony!

We believe that not allowing hero changes before every level fits better with our vision of a fast-paced game. Instead, we want players to reconfigure their character when Loading the game to tackle the challenges of each zone. That’s why, when you load the game, you can choose your hero again and the equipment is replaced with orichalcum, so you can adapt your character.

We appreciate your input and thank you for contributing to the discussion!

Aight thx! (Boohoo :()
I want this too. I understand the game is a nod to the "Nintendo hard" years, I experienced that first hand ,but I was a kid with all the time in the world, now I'm an adult with a day job. Consider the option, eventually we all end up becoming casual gamers because you either do that, or find yourself unemployed and expelled to your mother's basement.

It's not your gear gets refunded, it's you got an allowance that's far lower than the gold you'd realistically collect in a level. An uninterrupted playthrough will get all permanent upgrades long before the end, but the level 10 stipend is at least 3k short of that.
