Local "split screen" supported?
Can me and my GF play on the same computer with only 1 copy of the game?

Yes, just plug in another controller or configure your keyboard for the second player and you can play together. Unfortunately you won't be able to do this with online multiplayer.
There's also remote play, read up on that. Basically with 2 different computers and only 1 copy of the game, both players can play with each other.

With parsec right?

Is the game fully playable in local coop or there are game mode limitations etc?

The game has local coop that shares the same screen. There is no need or purpose for "split screen". You can also use remote play as described above. It is a recently added STEAM feature similar to parsec and mostly serves the same purpose, however, they are not the same program. I played 3 player coop last night using remote play. My pal in West coast USA hosted, as he had the only copy of the game. My pal in Norway was the scond player and I was the third, in East coast USA.

There are no limitations to the original game whether playing by yourself, local coop, or an online method.
