The mystery of Strange Fruit

As of 1.0.7 it's been buffed, and the description reads "You feel lucky..." and similar after leveling up. Does anyone have a hunch what this affects? Increased proc chances perhaps?

on top of range increase you get more gathering range, for exp and drops of heal and magnet

That might be it, I picked it and I felt my pickup range being wider than usual

95% sure that strange fruit impacts drop rate of arboreal gifts and that is what the "luckier" part means
