craft and build a crest. where is this found?

Hello!

If you open the crafting menu after pressing tab you will see Crest as the first option, this will establish thy land and control the doors so intruders cannot break into thy Castle.

Crafted, got it. Placing it? Something's not working...

After you place it, you press E and activate it, it gives free light inside your home.

Only one problem: It wont place. No matter where I try to place it, it stays red. Is there some special condition that has to be met first?

I know there is a known bug where things cant be placed on stone floors. If its wood floor then please ignore this message.

Neither wood nor stone. I tried both.

Please double check that there is not a neighbor that is built close by as their crest may also be blocking you from building as well.

In single player. North of the Hamlet, near the lake. Built in that area, couldn't place the crest. South of the Hamlet, but nearby in an area near the ridgeline, couldn't place the crest. Had to travel past the ridge on southward to the flats and was finally able to place the crest. Very frustrating!
