Crest, How to make one - What tool or bench

There is a Kings Quest to Make and Place a crest..Does anyone know where and how?

press "J" to open your journal and go to the crafting menu. The crest is the very first item in the top row to the left. Looks like a scroll opened up. Placing it takes some patience, because a lot of things will block it. I think, but not sure, it cant be too close to enemies or areas already owned, like the town.

craft another crest and look at the ground, you cant place 2 crests in the same area so when it changes from red to green that is the area it covers

There is no "crest" in my menu items...so is that a me thing or a game thing? *le sigh*
