Achievements wouldn't affect your "purist" playthrough. It would only provide replay value, fun challenges to do after a normal playthrough.
I enjoy hunting down achievements/trophies in other games after an initial playthrough.

Never played that one.
I just meant that I enjoy the additional replay value some achievement provide in other games. (I also enjoyed hunting meta/platinum trophies on PS.)
I like how good achievements can make you enjoy the game you like/love even more.
