No Cutscenes

Hello everyone, maybe someone can help me. The game starts the mission for me straight away, I don't see any of the supposedly great reworked films. This is how I feel on the PC and Steam Deck. Improved cutscenes are available under the settings. Even if I turn it off, there are no cutscenes. If anyone has an idea? I've already reinstalled and checked for errors.

I had the same problem as you, and I figured it was because I was using the command line option +clientport. Once I removed it, the cutscenes were back.

Just to be clear, the first cutscene comes after mission 1. If you are just starting the game now, there is only a txt briefing before first mission. Then you get the CGI and character animations after completing mission 1.

This. Cutscenes only appear before and after certain missions.

If you are playing on the Steam Deck, then that may very well be the cause too. Some games, like "Never Alone", simply cannot play videos on the Steam Deck, due to lack of appropriate codecs.

The cutscenes play for me on the GOG version.

If this remaster can't play the new cutscenes, it simply falls back to playing the game's original cutscenes. So, if you're not seeing a cutscene, it's probably because there isn't one. This game has only about 10 cutscenes, but 14 levels, so you shouldn't expect a cutscene before/after every level. For example, I played mission 2 today and there was no cutscene between ending that and starting mission 3.
