Two questions regarding Arc Hammer mission
Three juicy revives and three lives simply dangling from the ceiling and taunting me.

How to get them? The place is too high to minejump up there. Every video I checked on Youtube did not deal with them. So are they actually reachable or is that the another taunt towards the player like the last secret on Jabbas ship?

That masher moves so fast I don´t even have leaped half the way to the first opening before I get mashed. Same with the second opening and on the way back again at least two times mashed by the masher. At the end are some goodies and a live, but I loose so many HP and shield on the way I die once I reach the next enemies. So this secret is not helpful at all.

I remember from classic Dark Forces in the 90s that the masher was moving slower and it was actually possible to reach the safespots in time. Maybe another timing issue with the remaster?

According to some old game FAQ's (https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/3397-star-wars-dark-forces/faqs/2031) (odd from steam it sais the link it dangerous so i paste the paragraph here)

NOTE: At (-400/128.0/0140) there are floating treasures (lives and revives) which can only be obtained by sitting on a mine. These are not secrets, and you can only obtain these by cheating (or by forfeiting a life or two), so I am not mentioning these floating treasures. Er, except for this paragraph.

I noticed them but (even on hard) i already had 9 lives, so did not try the mine jump :)

The masher, it gives a live and takes alive. Also in the DOS version I usually avoided it. But in this remaster i actually made it out alive with 4 or 5 health.

Okay, after stacking 3 mines onto each other and passing the moment they exploded to jump in the air I was catapulted high enough to catch some of the goodies. Chances to blow yourself up and loose a live in the process are high. So again a "secret" not very helpful to the player.

For the masher i couldn't get through it without getting crushed at least once.
I found that the hiding spot on the right is worse than the wall on the left becuase you have to drop into a hole and jump back out which costs time.

Instead i just run for the gap in the wall on the left. I still can't get there without getting squashed though - but on the way back out from the secret i can make it. I lose health but never a life.
Hi,

The revives/extra lives are not possible to obtain without cheats. You would need to stand on mines and be blown up on them to obtain the pickups. For this reason I removed them in the community patch found here --> https://df-21.net/downloads/patches.php )

The masher is doable on the remaster but you must have pixel perfect timing. You can certainly enter the hole without taking damage - it's the jump afterwards that is quite difficult. I wouldn't worry about it since you will take only a few damage while as a reward you receive an extra life. This happens in many places of the game where you are forced to take damage (Ex: jump down elevator on Detention Center).

I think they are meant to be a challenge! Not something to take too serious, that's why there are many revives and extra lives in the same place! :3

It's only for fun with mines to see if you can... otherwise just ignore them and take the revive at the bottom :3
