I truly remember how much I hated this level. Almost no ammo, multiple stupid almost unavoidable ways to die, grenades being lobbed at your around every corner. ugh.
With Nar Shadaa the game starts a little dive in quality, Nar Shadaa, Jabbas Ship, Fuel Depot - three levels that are not much fun to play because of way too much mines, Gran and Trandoshan.
Imperial City is a ray of light in that misery.
After Fuel Depot quality rises again, I really like the last two levels of the game.
I've always loved the game, but now remember raging against this mechanic back when I first played it.
Just use the concussion launcher / rifle.
That weapon is a mine clearing master and can even clear those mines through the door.
Admitted that it sucks the first run through but once you know you know and its easy from then on.
You can disarm them
