Adobe AIR error upon launching game
When launching the game, I get the error that "Application descriptor could not be found for his application. Try re-installing or contacting the publisher for assistance."
I have tried having my antivirus ignore the folder it is in, reinstalled it, and used the "verify integrity of game files" feature on Steam but they have not worked.
Is this a problem for anyone else? The game is unplayable due to this.

That's really odd, that Application descriptor file should have been installed with everything else, can you check the local game files to see if it's there? From the Steam Library, right-click on the game name (or click the settings Gear icon from the game's page) and choose Manage > Browse Local Files.

Or the default installation folder should be:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Papa's Freezeria Deluxe

From inside that folder, there should be a META-INF folder, and inside of that an AIR folder, and there should be an "application.xml" file located there. Do you see that application.xml file, and can you open it and read it? It should be semi-readable, the fourth like should say "<id>com.flipline.papasfreezeriadeluxe</id>" for example.

Sorry for taking such a long time to respond, but the fourth line in the application.xml says "<id>com.flipline.papasfreezeriadeluxe</id>".

I found the solution. I just moved the install folder from my D: Drive to my C: Drive.
I believe the game had a problem trying to communicate across other drives, but this is not my expertise. I hope this solution can help you can look into it and find the problem.

Very strange, glad that worked though!

I also had the same issue and I changed it to my C: Drive and it worked!

Glad to hear that works! If you could share some info about where you had tried to install it originally, and if you're using Windows 10 or 11, we'll take a look and try to figure out why that didn't work until it was installed on your C: drive....
