Fastest armor missions?
Anyone know the gain rate of AFKing 51 with a turbo? Wondering which people have found to be most gain for active use as well. Would've hoped there was something better on DLC2, but I dunno what the spawn rate in the vertical cave is once the anchors drop. I always though it might be interesting to kill every retarius at the start of DLC1-M15 too and AFK that. lol

I've been using 60 overnight, but it's a little slow. Took 2 months for 100K. Debating if a turbo controller is worth it.

p.s. Has anyone tested the per mission cap online? I remember farming online in 4.1 allowed you to get a lot more before hitting the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ arbitrary limit for one mission. Every time I tried on 5, I got disconnected from my own lobby. Apparently triggers being held isn't enough to stop the AFK kick? I dunno.

And people wonder why others use auto loot lol overnight farming? 2 months of farming for 100k armor... I respect the effort!

Well if your not using mods I assume you know difficulty to grind armor isn't needed easy is often used? I hear pylon afk is solid cuz you can max crate pickups, but idk the best mission to do such a thing.

If you are using mods there may be other options perhaps but :aushrug: I'm not a fan of farming but I am curious what others think on best farming maps. There is 1 I forgot it's name but it's like 129 or something where the end of the mission a bunch of proteus come in a clear it and the npc can hold put till they do on easy-hard I used that a few times and focused on armor (no mods) and picked up quite a bit, 100 or so but it's not afk without auto loot. Not a bad time just focusing on boxes though.

EDF6 has anti-afk farm measure by making the spawn slower and fewer each spawn, unless using Loot range cheat.
Without using cheat, better do mission that quick and plenty drops like those Bombardier missions.

PS5, so no mods. There's one up in 120s with an anchor that spawns grenadiers I was considering trying as well. I don't think it spawns fast enough to be worth it though. It'll be interesting if the NPCs can kill the blue ball at the top of the vertical cave on DLC 2 before all dying. Could AFK that straight to the anchor drops and have it just killing golds/silvers until reset.

109 sounds like the one you mean. You get 70ish armor crates for your class each clear on that. Been doing it on inferno for people along with 37 on DLC2 which insanely matches the time and drop rate. 109 is more fun, but the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ story holding up the mission ending drives me nuts.

Yeah the story hold you sucks, if you split screen it you get double the armor which is nice lol could try a pylon spilt screen farm see if it goes well.

From what I understand DLC2 mission 7 is the best. The wiki says if you afk farm it you can hit the item cap in ~25 minutes. Seems good to me.
For anyone that's wondering how it works, watch this video from 2:30 on.

You shoot napalm at your feet, enemies run into it and die, you grab their items with probe. The health drops mean you don't die, so you keep grabbing armour boxes nonstop. DLC2 isn't officially available on PC yet, but it will be before too long, so if you want to farm that's one strategy.

Another interesting spot. Thanks. Heard about the mission, just never seen anyone AFK bees before, aside from spawn killing them in the DLC mission on 5. lol

I have the Asian English release on PS5, so I already have both packs.

Well, if you're willing to do active farming, The Giant God Comes Crashing can yield about 1000 armor crates per hour, though only Ranger can do this most effectively.

Play on Easy, of course.
Gears are whatever high level weapons (I use magma cannon and stork), grenade to suicide later, and the largest Probe you have.

  1. When the stage begins, run straight ahead to the kaijus.
  2. Kill some kaijus and pick the drops while at it until Kings appear.
  3. Kill the Kings at close range so you pick their drops at the same time.
  4. Repeat with the following Mothers and Cyclops.
  5. Once you're done looting the Cyclops, kill yourself and wait for Mission Failed screen.
  6. Choose to restart the mission, and repeat all the steps until you feel you're done. Choose to retreat in that case.

Once you get the rhythm, one cycle should take a bit less than 10 minutes and yield somewhere around 200 armor crates, hence 1000 armor crates per hour rate I mentioned.

Other classes can do this too, but less effectively because they lack the 1000% Probe.

Fencer actually does pretty well with the DLC2 exo. He's got a 400% and 800% pickup ring. Not to mention the ridiculous flashing spear that does ~200K per magazine. lol

Since I play PC version and I'm a bit stingy when it comes to dlc, it will be quite a while of me waiting for sale. >_<

The 2nd pack is 40 missions. Totally worth it.

Found a turbo option for PS5. Just wondering what the gain rate is and if I can rig it for 51 using Fencer w/800% ring. Should be interesting. I'm definitely tired of resetting farms on 60 during the night. hmm. Worst case, I can split screen so fencer gets a decent share I guess.

what the hell do you need 100k armor for, youre looking for solutions to created problems

To be over 9000! Lol

Maybe it's just a personal goal. Or a challenge. Some people do that

Had 700K on 4.1. It's how I play online. Like being in the middle of the ♥♥♥♥, clearing as quick as possible. There were mission in 4.1 DLC that were ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nuts too. There's a few in this one, especially mission pack 2 where a 100k Fencer will go splat in a few seconds if your shield runs out at the wrong time. lol

Plus, I don't like dying from people firing the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ laser bargas on 136 when I'm out there in the middle collecting so the map doesn't max on boxes. I wanna tank that ♥♥♥♥ by the time I'm done with this game.
