DLC 2 is honestly really bad
The base game and DLC 1 were mostly pretty well designed, harder than previous EDF titles but designed in a comparatively much more fair way. DLC 2 here just feels like there are no viable strategies to the missions, they just force you to grind out a huge amount of armour otherwise it's simply not possible for you to survive.

This isn't a complaint about it being "hard", I like the missions to be hard but these ones just seem to throw so much stuff at you that damage is entirely unavoidable and armour farming for hours seems to be the only actual solution.

Just the way I like it. Main game has too much scripted ♥♥♥♥ mixed with a few fun missions. DLC1 was just garbage. DLC2 is loads of fun. Only mission I really hate is the fast ship one.

This DLC came out over half a year after the game in Japan. Players collected over 10000 armor for each class with that time. The point of the DLC was for people with hundreds of hours already.
The missions in DLC 1 felt like puzzles. If you destroy this nest/enemy, then a bunch of enemies spawn on you. The drop rate was terrible and while playing on Hard rewarded you with some new weapons, the other difficulties provided so little incentive to play them that you paid $15 to run Inferno and maybe get two weapon upgrades a run. Any weapons you do get is weaker than your maxed Inferno stuff from campaign until you beat the last few missions a couple dozen times each.

I haven’t try DLC2 yet but I was learning strats for EDF5 from this guy.

https://youtu.be/SrpyAQft4W0?si=JLSiuUTZeVucSbZu

He can do EDF6 DLC2 missions with the minimum health (250 armor for fencer).
The missions are super hard but having a good strat, some skill and optionally a decent team definitely makes them doable.

But yeah - farming armor does help and that’s why so many people spend crazy amount of hours grinding.

Those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ videos only show offline strategies. Even maxed out, those FGXR rockets don't 1-shot the golds in 37 online. You'll spend at least twice that long doing it that way, plus cleanup cause you're making a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess scattering the items all over the map.

That's the mission everyone farms too, btw. The fastest way to do it is 2 fencers with double reflectors, essentially back to back in one of those little slots in the rubble. 10 minute clear in 4 player difficulty, and all the boxes are right around you to keep grabbing between waves so you don't max the map and waste drops.

The only way you're getting 10k armour within this time for EVERY class is if EDF 6 is literally the only game you ever play

Try playing on normal or easy

Anything below hard in every EDF game is so braindead you might as well not even play the game at that point. I beat all of EDF 5 and both of it's mission packs, as well as EDF 6 and mission pack 1 here without ever dropping the difficulty. These missions are just poorly designed.

No, DLC1 was poorly designed and annoying. DLC2 is FUN. It actually feels like 4.1's DLC in a way. Even has an annoying mission with fast ships.

Maybe you should stick to normal or easy to pass then.

Are you incapable of reading? Normal is impossible to lose on. There is no reason to even play the game at all at that point. Dropping the difficulty doesn't change that these missions are just not good.

Then play on normal so you can know what victory is. The AI clearly has given you the right instructions.

if you're just gonna keep responding with the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is completely ignoring the point then don't bother.

You should refund it if it's too hard. It's for experienced players.

Yeah as are all the DLC packs for these games. It's almost like I'm making a complaint about how poorly designed the missions in this DLC are and how artificial the difficulty is by comparison. I don't have any problem with hard missions, I have problems with poorly designed and outright unfair ones.

Again, you're completely ignoring the point of the post so there's no point in continuing to post.
