Genuine question, you aren't buying a game that's all about defending earth from an alien/insect invasion at all costs with a vast array of weapons, multiple classes to pick from with over 140 missions, because they didn't put in a bunch of vtubers from Japan that have nothing to do with the game itself as a low level decoy weapon for the EN release (that drops a year later for the west after it got released for Japan)?

Would you have even bothered getting this game at all if they didn't do this Collab?

The JP girls will most likely show up as DLC either post-launch or later down the line.

But you should buy the game because EDF is god-tier. The Hololive girls are a bonus.

Western version gets holoEN, Asian version gets holoJP.
So, if it's a gift from an Asian friend, you'll get holoJP decoys. The reverse is holoEN.

my first exp with this game was with the PS2

and this game has changed NOTHING

same old 00s graphic, same old gameplay

there are games i want to play again too, eg Mosquito and Mosquito 2, and there was one called 蒼魔燈 which you set traps and try to escape the room

but you cant not admit PS2 graphics are not acceptable in this day and age

I'm one of few that could care less about graphics, Game Devs like to hide behind "Muh Graphics" Gameplay is all that matters, I'd trade any Triple A aside from Elden Ring for Jak & Dexter any day of the week.

Baldurs gate? Gimme THE ORIGINAL Ratchet & Clank instead, Not the dogwater remake they did for PS4 that cut half the content and rewrote story.

You might want to look at comparison footage if you serious believe that EDF on the PS2 doesn't look any different than EDF6. The difference in the number of enemies on screen (and the detail of said enemies) is readily apparent.

There is, however, an argument to be made that EDF in 2024 still looks like a "budget" game but is being sold at a price similar to AAA games.

I don't agree with the price but i see why they're doing it now . . . They got Hololive to sign on.

Y'know, That company that is known for egregious pricing.

Guarantee Half the purchase price is going to Hololive, They should just release a version that doesn't have visual access to it (Can't play with pre-orders) for traditional 49.99
