Lootmaster mod for EDF6 (UPDATE)

The Lootmaster mod is now available for EDF6!

The mod collects all crates still left on the ground, when the mission ends.
The process is now completely automatic, unlike in the alpha where a vehicle was required. Here you can see it in action:

Lootmaster can be played online, but all players are required to have it installed.
Vanilla players cannot join modded servers, so please set your server to private.

To install Lootmaster, extract its zip archive in the EDF6 folder, located in:
"Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Earth Defence Force 6"
When installed correctly, the installation folder should look like in the screenshot below.

The mod does not require creating a new savegame.

I feel like that's just part of the game, and you have fencer/wing diver players that usually take up that job.

I don't think that mods like this that separate the players are good, regardless of intentions, because you're splitting the already small player base into smaller groups, meaning either side will have less opportunities to play with others.

I think it's worth it. Some people don't find the idea of keeping one enemy alive while you collect crates to be very compelling. I doubt the mod would spilt the playerbase to any noticeable degree.

I think it's worth it. Some people don't find the idea of keeping one enemy alive while you collect crates to be very compelling.

The wild part is, if you're any good at the game and actually keep the NPCs alive, some missions it's literally impossible to keep an enemy alive because the NPCs kill too and will finish off the last monster while you're looking around.

I just had this exact thing happen on mission 7 or 8 yesterday; left an ant alive and started looking around and the NPCs finished it and ended the mission. Luckily I was exhaustively diligent in checking each and every corpse as I killed them (a real PiA as Wingdiver)

Since EDF6 has been out for just 3 days, the tools aren't ready for that yet. So I'm giving people everything we can do at the moment.

Notice that the old Lootmaster for EDF5 actually did have vehicles: it was the only way to scoop up crates in online. Fortunately, we got lucky with the code in EDF6, and eventually we won't need to use vehicles at all, not even online.

It is greatly appreciated nonetheless mind you.
I was just surprised a bit because there sure was a lot of hate posts talking about how this is the exact same engine as 5 and not worth the money and blah blah, and I guess those people were wrong or the mods would be easier to port?

But yea, super cool, and definitely better than nothing.

And yea I never tried 5 online, partially because I would have had to uninstall the mod to do so back when I cared.

Why should we have to suffer just because you get off on forcing people to only play how you want them to play?

That’s cool but please ask people in random lobbies if they want that. Many people don’t instal cheat engine for a reason.
