Disconnect issues

So me and my brother are trying to play EDF6 together online, we both have connected our accounts to our respective Epic Games Accounts, but when we try to join each other, the nameplates are blank and then I get a disconnect error right after.

Any help? Only help online I saw was some reddit reply saying that the time was off and that supposedly solved the issue without going into any detail.

I've had this issue as well and none of those fixes from the thread have done anything. My clock isn't wrong, I've tried allowing it through the firewall, I've verified game files quite a few times.

My major confusion about this is this *wasn't* happening to me at first. I played a few missions with my friend and when we tried to get another in I could never connect to any lobby again for whatever reason, but they could connect with each other just fine. They even got a third in eventually so it's not a number of players reason. I can't even connect to any random lobbies.

My suspicion is that it's something to do with Epic Games Services but I'm not really sure what can be done about it at this point in time. Something like not connecting to the service properly somehow, or it's treating you as unconnected. Probably an issue that needs to be patched.
