Intersting thing I noticed in multiplayer about enemy hp and being solo.
So I was playing some online multiplayer missions solo and I have damage to show Per target so the dmg number stops when you do enough to kill them, and I noticed, that when you do MP mode alone, enemies have about 30% more health than if you have one other person with you, no its not just cuz we have 2 people hitting it, I tested it in the same mission where my friend just stood there, while I attacked things and noticed they have less hp with 2 people per enemy, than they do when I am solo, seems to be about 30% as the bee nests in a early mission had about 3000 health when I was solo in online mode, and only 2000 health when I had a single other person with me. Again friend just sat there while I tested so they were not hitting it as well.

Why is it like this? shouldn't the enemy health in online mode be at the lowest if there is only a single person in the room?

It was like this in previous EDFs as well. That's why it is always best to play with people when you are in online mode. Why is it always like this idk but why be online if you aren't playing with people idk.

In previous games, when you start an MP lobby with only 1 player, the coop multiplier is set as if you had 4 players in your lobby. This is a mechanic to make solo farming easier.

Ive got no hard numbers but I assume its the same in 6.

It's their way to encourage actually playing with other people.
Multiplayer alone scales up the enemies the same as if you're in 4-man multiplayer.
At least that was how it worked in EDF 5.

OP is saying they mad more health when solo compared to when playing with someone else which would be strange. I don't know personally I generally play in full lobbies.

Yeah I know and its kinda silly that it does that. If anything they should have the lead hp when alone. Sometimes I can't ever get people to join even if I sit there for 10-15 minutes, and I cannot start a mission because they cannot come into a mission during it, so I sit there twiddling my thumbs hoping someone joins and its annoying to have to exit a mission and restart it to add another person, they really need some drop in/out multiplayer for this game, its been my biggest issue with the EDF series online side for ages.

That's exactly how it works. Going solo into a multiplayer mission scales up the enemy stats as if there are 4 players.

its not that I don't want too, i've never had a random person join ever no matter how long I sat there in EDF6 and that is the problem, I don't know if the matchmaking is messed up or what, or if the game lacks players due to the whole epic games thing.

Would be nice if you could let people come into a mission thats already started and have the enemies scale in real time to the hp they should have with 2-3 people.

4 Player = 4 Player Scaling
3 Player = 3 Player Scaling
2 Player = 2 Player Scaling
1 Player = 4 Player Scaling

I always thought they did this in every game to push people online to actually team up with other players. "Wow this mission is tough maybe I should grab some help" - "Wow that was so much easier with another friend!"

And it scales it back down with 2? Interesting. I guess they want you in solo mode and not taking up space online which makes sense.

Now that singleplayer and multiplayer progress carries over it is pointless to go solo on multiplayer unless you want some challange.

I mean, even if they didn't it'd still be easier with 1 other person even with them getting a small hp bonus due to the fact you now have 2 weapons of mass destruction running around instead of one. Its stupid system to have especially when you don't have drop in/out multiplayer, joining a lobby sucks because unless they are willling to retreat from the mission tossing all progress and items unless they let themselves get killed to keep some of it, is annoying as some of the missions in EDF6 are long and its boring just sitting there for 30 minutes waiting for someone to come out of a mission.

yeah, its a weird system especially when there is no drop in/out mid mission. if there was i'd not mind it so much as I could at least play the game until someone joins and once they get in the mission the enemies scale in real time and get easier. But how its setup you basically have to sit in a room twiddling your thumbs hoping someone joins before you start. As if they join after you now have to end the mission so they can join you on the next.

Its a ego thing for me and prob others, I have 0 offline missions played, and all are online only. Older titles kinda got me in that mindset since progression between the 2 used to be seperate. I'd mind less if the battle record didn't specificlly specify online or offline missions started and just had a single missions started stat that combines the 2. Why they have them seperated is beyond me tbh. Its a silly OCD thing/ME problem as I feel like I am wimping out by playing in offline mode just to have a easier game, i'd be more inclined though if the game just lumped all missions started together.

An "SOS" feature like Monster Hunter would be a great idea and help the flow of online mode.

It would, go in mish solo immedatly fire Sos then do the mission and hope someone joins. I'd be fine with that option myself. it works pretty well in monster hunter games as you mentioned. Having isssues soloing? fire a SoS people usually join pretty quick. maybe in EDF7 they will improve the mutliplayer.... maybe... the fact they haven't is kinda telling though to be honest.
