There is something called consumer practices. If a company does something once, you know that they can, and in fact likely WILL do it again. The trust between the company and the customers was already broken. This is like having an abusive partner, breaking away from them, then going back expecting for things to be different.
You say this is made up, when Tim Sweeney has already confirmed this is exactly what EoS was doing and they did not approve of that. You can go look that up FYI. You can also read the comment section where they specifically talk about EoS. What do you this the game launcher is using? Obviously it is using EoS. Why play stupid?
I didn't mention this but I've already mentioned this on other threads. You can block EoS from running on most games. I did it with dead island 2 for example and the game ran fine. Most games you can just block it and move on. With this game it is directly baked into the game which I don't think is intended and I don't think that they implemented it correctly as no other game as far as I'm concerned that has single player allows this. If you would like I could launch hades right now and prove that because EGS is not allowed to be on my PC and I ensured such blocking any ports and send calls that it uses and blocking the actual installation of the service as well.
Right, but you know what was confirmed? That is was spyware and others have verified his results. Funny how you ignore that though. Tim Sweeney sure didn't ignore it :)
Meanwhile, this game, EDF6, requires me to install EOS and it didn't even ask for my permissions. So what's your point?

And you can block it having no issues with running these games. Some people just aren't that bright. . . Ignorance is one thing but acting like you are correct when you don't have all the information is just weird to me.
