so i have not started it yet was wondering what are some good weapons options to take. oh and it's on hard

KFF 60 RE with decent level stats is good enough to hurt from long range. Although I was going for Fang M99 but you will be constantly dealing against armored greys and krakens.

Minion Buster MK2 is overall great for clearing out ground unit in your way.

Grenades isn't much focus here on this mission so, use any Aerial Reverser to support your teammate and yourself from the amount of bloodshed.

The ranger's rocket launchers have the longest range in the game. I usually go with the Grant because it has a high dps at long ranges. The only catch is you need to be able to lead your target to get a decent number of hits in.

Sniper rifles aren't too bad either. If you can take out the turrets, they drop a lot of boxes.

The JP wiki recommends 4 setups for Ranger in "Inferno" difficulty:
Setup 1: MR111 Fang, Lysander Z, Aerial Reverser MD, HU04 Brute SA9
Setup 2: MR111 Fang, EXA Blazer, Aerial Reverser MD, Bike
Setup 3: EXA Blazer, Lysander Z, ZEXR-Gun, Hybrid protector E9
Setup 4: MR111 Fang, Reverser-X, ZEXR-Gun, Under Assist E3

Basically, you need one long range weapon like a sniper rifle or an rocket launcher. The second weapon should be one to get rid of the "medium fries", like Kraken and Frogs. The Backpack tool can be either a Reverser to heal yourself or a Sentry Turret to assist fighting the medium fries. For the support slot you can either take a vehicle or an under assist to help you collect healing boxes. The setup you take, must fit to your strategy and your AP value.
