Regional Pricing is Broken in Some Regions

DISCLAIMER THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE GAME COSTING SIXTY DOLLARS, IT IS A GENUINE BUG REPORT ABOUT THE REGIONAL PRICING IN CERTAIN REGIONS, PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS SPIKE CHUNSOFT

Regional pricing seems to be missing for Brazil and Mexico. We're getting the value directly converted from the dollar price, which is about double what it should be with regular regional pricing (Valve's suggested values, and I mean the new ones from last year, not the old ones). In fact, we're paying even more than the USA price because of the poor conversion rate used.

Checking SteamDB, it seems like every other region got either the Valve suggested price or at least *some* adjusted price, so I imagine they just forgot to change the Brazil and Mexico prices, or maybe they did and it didn't save the changes.

Either way, I really want them to see this, as it doesn't seem like they're checking the "Contact Us" inbox from their website or their Twitter DMs as I haven't gotten a single reply from either option, and I don't know how else to contact them.

I doubt you're going to hear anything from them through Steam discussions.

I'm just trying every place I can contact them from, they don't reply to messages sent from the form in their website either. And since this is a public place I can also use it to spread the word.

Well, there goes my idea of contacting them. I've bought most of their visual novel catalogue here on Steam but seeing how it is, they won't be getting my money on this one.
The price is pretty steep compared to previous entries in the series to begin with and then adding an +88% and +77% pricing increase is just ridiculous. I really can't support them this way.

Honestly I think you should still try. The more people trying to contact them about this, the better. Maybe you can word it in a way that I didn't think of, or have different arguments that might convince them. The more people talk about this, the better chance we have of getting it sorted out, or at least to get an actual response instead of radio silence.

Unfortunately not, the price is still broken over a year later. I've tried emailing them and tweeting at them multiple times and never gotten a single response either. Unfortunately I don't think this will ever get fixed, so I guess I'll just watch a playthrough online instead of buying this game. It's a shame because I'm a big fan of SciADV games so I'd like to have all the games, but I refuse to buy a game that's priced almost double what the regional price was supposed to be.

I don't think Spike Chunsoft realizes that the regional pricing is a calculation made by Valve so that the lower regional price means the larger amount of people who buy the game will make up for the "lesser" amount of money made per sale... There's just no way to convince them if they won't listen. Having 200 people buy a game for R$180 is better than 100 people buying a game for R$300. It's just simple math.

And it's already been over a year. People who wanted to buy this game ASAP no matter the price have already bought the game for R$300. At this point they're just losing money from people who want to buy the game at the actual price it's supposed to be, like me.

Unfortunately they ignore every way of communication I try. Not just this forum post, I've tried sending them emails, contacting them through their form in their website, Twitter replies, and I've never gotten a single reply back or any sort of acknowledgement. I can only assume that is because they targeted their Brazilian fans on purpose with this absurd price and they don't intend to change it even over a year after the game has released.

This is incredibly disappointing as a Brazilian SciADV fan (for any US citizen reading this, imagine if this game was just $120 for you while every other country got to pay the normal $60 price - that's how this feels). They can just put the game price as high as they want for countries they don't like, without ever giving a formal reason why when people ask.

Unfortunately I won't be buying this game even though I love this series, or any other game published by Spike Chunsoft anymore, as they clearly don't respect their Brazilian customers.
