Thank you for reporting this! I know exactly what is happening and I will fix it on the next update of the demo : - )

I'm sorry that happened to you. The bug has been fixed and the current build no longer contains this issue. The issue was due to some save data being loaded improperly and skipping to a state post this character's death.
Unfortunately, if this has already occurred on your save it will not be fixed, but on any subsequent new save files will no longer happen.
Thank you for reaching out : - )

I'll keep on eye on that, but admittedly carrying input between loading scenes in Unity is a major pain. If more people continue to have an issue with this I will fix it.
If I may ask, what level/situation do you want to immediately transform in? A lot of the levels in the game are best played by gaining initial height in the regular form and then transforming to quickly fall and gain a lot of momentum off of a slope.
Thank you for contacting with your concerns : -]

When it did work, on my third attempt, I tried to do something differently and talked to Twinkle first, which I hadn't done yet. Maybe something in the script bugs if you haven't talked enough to other characters in the domain, but I think it was probably a coincidence? I was playing on a Dell laptop on Windows 10, if it helps.
(Also, I wish I could say this bug made me lose immersion on the scene, but it only made the pit of despair festering in my gut stronger and stronger watching this adorable little kid get traumatized not just once, but repeatedly, and being unable to change a thing even when I knew what would happen word for word. I can't wait to cry a river once the full release is out. Y'all are good at this.)
