"Land a whip"

There's a secondary objective on an early Bike Racing Career event called "Skrrt Skrrt", it says "Land a Whip", I have landed multiple left and right whips with LT+Down or RT+Down, I've checked the trick list and there's nothing else I can imagine it wants me to do, I've tried it with manual landing too, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Nevermind, for anyone stuck you have to perform a full whip, as in hold it until the bar fills.
