This VS. descenders?
Wich would be the better? I know this has more bikes and other vehicles, But the races are always the same, no? Descenders has proceduraly generated maps.

I dont own Descenders but RR has a huge map, 3 types of bikes and you can free roam

Totally this game. There's more content and things to do. Descenders is awesome though.

The races are not always the same. No idea why you would even say that.

not to be disrespectful to descenders but this game is 50x better.

The handling in this game is lightyears worse than descenders, same with the physics feeling.

I actually refunded RR when I was still actively playing Descenders. Might grab it again on a big sale to try it again, but man, the handling, physics and feeling in Descenders is so much better.

In addition to the procedural maps, you also have a bunch of hand-made parks with lines and pre-made spots to trick and jump off of and just free-roam.

thats because descenders is made to be arcadey and pick-upable. aka not very realistic.

this game (while dramatically unrealistic) has its mechanics based on reality. aka when moving at breakneck speeds you turn slow, the material you are riding on determines friction, etc etc. which is a lot higher quality than being able to snap left and right instantly. (and also requires more skill)

I respectfully disagree with all of this. The controls, movement and physics on bikes in RR feels terrible to me.

I got the game when it first came out on Steam and refunded the same day, just because of how sloppy and poor the controls, especially on bikes, felt.

Descenders is going down small linear tracks trying to make it to the end without losing all your lives or it's game over and you have to start over from the beginning. Riders Republic is a gigantic open world map for you to ride around with hundreds of races and other events to do. If you're good you can finish Descenders in less than 3 hours and then start again on NG+. RR you have hundreds of hours and content plus all the custom multiplayer events. Both are very unrealistic arcade like games but RR is more fun for me when Descenders feels a lot more stiff and awkward.

You must have somehow missed the dozen large, completely open parks included in Descenders.

A little late but Descenders is much much better. Riders Republic is cash grab garbage imo. Descenders Next is coming out soon.

Also the large amount of mod maps.

Sure the map is larger in Riders Republic but like most Ubisoft games I feel like the scale works against the player. What's the point of this large open world when it feels lifeless? The scale of steep though felt perfect for me. I could hop on and play for a bit without it feeling like a repetitive chore.
