Why am I so slow?

After coming from steep and descenders I was so excited to play this but I have to be doing something wrong. No matter what I use I feel like I'm going incredibly slow, the physics are very arcade racer and I'm ok with that of course but I feel like I'm stuck to the ground going 10mph at all times.

Also is there a way to carve (s turns I think they're called) on a snowboard or slide drift on bikes?

increase the FOV to the max, it will help to some degree but keep in mind you have to get better gear that have better stats.

Sorry for the lately reply, you probably already solved that but... You been slowy it's probably because your bike have low Grap. What means? Some events have differente surfaces, wet, to much mud or snow. So if your bike have a low grap i'll be much more hard to get speed on this events. Some Road bike events for example make it easy to understand, if you use this Road bikes with less than 15 grap (some of this bikes have 30 grap, really nice to handle) on mud our dirt grounds you'll probably lose too much speed and slide a lot, so use another bike with a higher grap, even if that bike have less lvl.
