Are you saying that somehow Steam installed Zandronum in place of DOSBox?
If you want to use Zandronum, can't you just copy and paste it to your Doom installs and rename Zandronum.EXE to DOSBOX.EXE and run it from there?
Why are you even using Zandronum for single player anyways? Zandronum is too far behind compared to GZDoom and the only thing Zandronum has over that is better multiplayer because it was based on Skulltag.
I stopped my Doom-marathon when I previously came across the same problem; that the last game only launched "vanilla".
The reason I use Zandronum is not for multiplayer. It's for the visuals and mouse-look; with the annoying forward and back motion removed and replaced. I'm not bothered with alternatives that include even more visual effects. There is only much you can add before the billboard character sprites begin to look more and more out of place. Some purists may even consider using ANY acceleration as ruining the Doom experience.
Recently I've been needing a dumb shooter to play, and returned to the original Doom titles to finish what I began. That's when I remembered why I hadn't yet played Final Doom. It was only upon looking into my issue, that I found I could acess the Zandronum version through The Ultimate Doom, yet not from its own launcher, as with the previous 3 titles.
